Ong Ghim Hui holds a “Diploma in Physiotherapy”, from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore (2001); and “Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy)” degree from University of Sydney (2002).
For the past 11 years, she has been actively involved in the field of Paediatrics Neurology and Orthopaedics Rehabilitation. She has extensive experience working in KKWC Hospital’s Respiratory, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Obstetric & Gynaecology Ward and Paediatric Neurology Out-Patient Physiotherapy Department. She also conducts Clinical Home Visitation, Footwear Prescription/ Modification, Antenatal Class, Aqua Fitness Class and Postnatal Exercise Class.
In 2007, she was given the privilege to undergo a Paediatric Neurology Physiotherapy placement in Turkey, Istanbul. Under the guidance of Professor Mehmet Ozak and Principal physiotherapist, Mr. Ozcan Kalkan, she has obtained skills to perform preoperative and post operative assessment and rehabilitation for children who have undergone Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy and Baclofen Pump administration. Since 2010, she has been actively involved in Clinical Research, Student Development, Paediatric Symposium, Group exercise prescription.
Her Recent interest is to incorporate Clinical Pilates Corrective Exercises in the rehabilitation of children with Neurological and Orthopaedic conditions. She is constantly upgrading herself with courses and workshops, to improve patient care.
