It can be any type of surgery the patient had, for example, open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) of the elbow, spinal surgeries (discectomy/laminectomy/fusion), hip, knee, shoulder replacement etc.
At the initial stage of the rehabilitation, the focus of the treatment will be on the reduction of inflammation and pain. These will be followed by regaining the full range of motion of that particular joint. Then we will gradually enhance the patient’s movement and performance through a cascade of therapeutic exercises.
